A path through dunes to the beach, acrylics and fabric
Beach Path - Endangered
Mixed Media Textiles
26" x 48"
2016

Kick off your shoes and feel the sand in your toes. This work is a response to the irresistible pull of the beach. When I get to this point on the path, I can't wait to be down by the water's edge and feel the waves. It is a priceless experience — and, threatened by coastal growth, an endangered one.

The luscious watercolor sky is created as a monotype on sheer fabrics. The dunes are muslin with layers of acrylic. Stitching overall adds texture.

This work is mounted on birch plywood and framed from the back: your work will display approximately 2" away from the wall with a clean, wrapped edge.
