S O L D "Patterned Crossings" was inspired by the rich Florida river's-edge landscape that is just minutes from my home. It is created with archival acrylic paints and mediums on fabric. The images are created through a combination of monotype printing, and direct painting. I like the contrasts between the pedestrian-like onward movements of the fish with the (for now) stationary bird. They are connected through the rich patterns of the landscape. But, will their paths cross?
More patterns of machine stitching highlight sections of the work. (Zoom in to see the textures!)
